2. About the Program

Pass It Home Initiative is a student-run, volunteer-based community program. We are not a licensed charity, moving company, junk-removal service, resale operation, or professional delivery service. We operate on a best-effort basis with limited resources.

3. Donor Terms

What donors agree to

• You own the item being offered or have permission from the owner to donate it.
• All information provided in your submission is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• You have disclosed all known defects, damage, safety concerns, pest exposure, odors, and functional issues.
• The item does not have a known active pest infestation.
• You understand that submitting a donation form does not guarantee acceptance, pickup, or listing of your item.
• You grant Pass It Home Initiative permission to use submitted photographs in its public item catalog.
• You will not misrepresent the condition of an item.

No guarantees to donors

Pass It Home Initiative does not guarantee that any donated item will be accepted, picked up, listed in the catalog, or redistributed. We reserve the right to decline any item for any reason, including but not limited to condition, size, safety, storage limitations, transportation limitations, demand, or capacity.

4. Recipient Terms

What recipients agree to

• You will not resell any item received through Pass It Home Initiative.
• You will not visit a donor's address or contact a donor directly without an arrangement confirmed by our team.
• You understand that submitting a request does not guarantee you will receive an item.
• Items are offered in their current condition. Pass It Home Initiative makes no warranties about item condition, safety, suitability, or durability.
• You may be asked to inspect an item before accepting it.
• You will be honest and accurate in your request submission.

No guarantees to recipients

Pass It Home Initiative does not guarantee that any requested item will be available, matched, or delivered. Delivery is not always possible. Item availability changes frequently.

5. No Warranties

All items distributed through Pass It Home Initiative are donated household goods offered in their current, as-is condition. Pass It Home Initiative makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding:

• Item condition, safety, cleanliness, or suitability for a particular purpose
• Whether items are free of defects, pests, or hazards
• The accuracy of item descriptions provided by donors
• The availability of any item at any given time

Recipients are encouraged to inspect items before accepting them.

6. Limitation of Liability

Pass It Home Initiative, its student organizers, and any associated volunteers are not responsible for any injury, property damage, loss, or harm resulting from the use of items received through the program, from pickup or delivery activities, or from reliance on information provided through this website.

Our maximum liability in any circumstance is limited to the value of the item involved, which is zero, as all items are offered at no cost.

7. Privacy

Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our website or program to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Resell items received through the program

The Pass It Home Initiative name, logo, and website content are the property of the organization. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use them without permission.

By submitting photographs through our donation form, you grant Pass It Home Initiative a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use those photographs in our public item catalog and program materials.
